There's not so much to say about Delano's. It's your basic college pub, not particularly inviting, but tuned in to the needs of a college and just- out-of-college crowd out for a few pitchers of cold, cheap beer. Specials aside, the prices for domestic beer are very reasonable. Bud and Bud Light are the standards, but higher-brow brews like Sam Adams and BBC also flow from the taps-though you'll pay the (still reasonable} price. DJs spin tunes on Thursday nights and sometimes Tuesdays and Saturdays as well. Otherwise, the atmosphere couldn't be more no-frills-there are basic wooden tables on which to rest your pitcher when it's not pouring (but why wouldn't it be pouring?}. It all fits the bill quite well. In the past, Delano's has sometimes served cold- cut sandwiches during the academic year, but it's not clear whether, or how long, this tradition will continue. Otherwise, there's no food for sale, in spite of the fact that the sign out front dubs the place a "pizzeria." It's all just part of the gritty charm of Delano's.
